KWVR 1940’s Weekend

This shoot depicts the Keighley and Worth Valley Railway's 2025 '1940's Weekend'. This is an event that ran over the whole weekend in May, with the obvious theme being the 1940's. Many volunteers dressed up in appropriate attire with passengers encouraged to do the same. Of course, all the stations were decorated to match, with Union Jacks, Sandbags, period posters and other such items littered across the railway. There was music, speeches from characters, all sorts. There were even American jeeps and a Half Track at West Ingrow.
I was only around to photograph the Saturday, but I think I still captured at least part of the spirit of the event, which was indeed quite fun.

(To answer a probable question, it was a hot summer day, which is why diesels were in use most of the time.)
